Getting around is half the fun. Expect delays and modes of transport that don't always have 4 wheels.

Accommodation is cheap but expect the unexpected. You may be offered a concrete floor with a straw bed for lodging depending where you are. Otherwise, accommodation in larger cities is quite good.

Food can be basic but in the country's capital, La Paz, there is everything from KFC to local street fare. Avoid chain fast food and try the local cuisine!
